Blackhawk Federal Credit Union (BFCU) has been serving the needs of Blackhawk School District employees and their immediate families since 1975. BFCU provides a full range of financial services for its 1,200+ member-owners. The credit union office is located in Chippewa Township, which is in the center of

About Us

| Board Members were honored for their years of service with a combined total of 75 years of service and experience. sd_L-R Nancy Lamey (7yrs.), Robert Wagoner (11yrs.), David Hanlon (11yrs.), Donna Paisley (14yrs.) and Ralph Pence (32yrs.) |
Federal Credit Union was chartered in December 1974 and opened for the membership in April 1975. Just one year later, the Credit Union had grown to over 100 member-owners and $25,000.00 in assets. Blackhawk Federal operated for twenty-two years from 131 Chippewa Park Road in Beaver Falls. Not until January of 1998 did the Credit Union move to its present location at 2358 Darlington Road, Beaver Falls.
Many milestones have been reached in the thirty years of operation. The Credit Union has grown in excess of $10-million in assets and serves over 1200+ member-owners within the Blackhawk School District.
Members have been loyal and supportive of the progressive services offered in the savings and loan areas. The Credit Union offers a wide variety of savings options and has written 4,700+ loans totaling $44.5-million during its short history.
The future appears bright for the continued growth of Blackhawk Federal Credit Union, which provides financial services for employees of the Blackhawk School District and their immediate households, along with selected immediate family members and those living in economic households. |
